Product

Upload what you have. See what the law still needs. Get the passport.

CellHash takes the battery data a manufacturer or importer already holds, validates it against Regulation (EU) 2023/1542, names what is missing, and produces every artefact Article 77 asks for. Then it registers and hosts the record for as long as the law requires.

What you get

Six artefacts the Regulation names, from one record.

Article 77 · Annex XIII

The passport page

A phone-first page per battery with the four access tiers: public model data, model data for persons with a legitimate interest, data for notified bodies and authorities, and individual-battery data such as state of health.

Article 77(3) · EN 18219

The unique identifier

Model, batch and item identifiers compliant with ISO/IEC 15459, plus the economic-operator and facility identifiers EN 18219:2026 adds. GS1 Digital Link is one admitted scheme.

Article 13(6) · EN 18220

The QR code

High-contrast, phone-readable QR artwork per battery in PNG, SVG and PDF, in bulk for a production run, with label templates for common printers.

Article 77(10) · Reg. (EU) 2026/1778

The registry entry

Registration of each identifier in the EU Digital Product Passport Registry through the registry API, under the operator's eIDAS credential, with proof of registration retained.

IDTA 02035-1 to -7

The AAS record

The seven Asset Administration Shell submodels (nameplate, handover documentation, carbon footprint, technical data, condition, material composition, circularity) for Catena-X-compatible exchange.

Article 78

EU-resident hosting

Storage as authorised operator in an EU region, with a back-up through an independent DPP service provider, so the record stays available after the seller ceases to exist or leaves the Union.

How it works

From a bill of materials to a registered passport.

No system to replace. The flow runs on data you already hold, and every step is available through the API as well as the interface.

Onboard

Create the organisation and its facilities. Name the legal entity that places each battery on the market.

Register batteries

Packs, modules, cells and cell models. One at a time, by CSV from a bill of materials with column mapping, or by API.

Attach documents

Declarations of conformity, test reports and supplier attestations linked to models and batches, with versions.

Ingest state of health

BMS exports with column mapping. Lifecycle events are append-only and feed the item-level tier.

Apply the regulation pack

The EU pack maps your fields to the Commission's 71 data points and marks each mandatory, optional, conditional or not to be filled at 18 February 2027.

Read the gap list

A compliance score per model and per access tier, with every missing field named and the obligation date it belongs to.

Generate

Identifier, QR, passport page, versioned snapshot and AAS record. In bulk for a production run.

Register and host

We register the identifier in the EU DPP Registry and host the record as authorised operator. Scan the QR, see the public tier, no login.

Regulation as configuration

The rules are a versioned pack, not code.

Each jurisdiction and version is a directory of JSON loaded at runtime. A late delegated act, a revised data-point list or the Great Britain regime is a pack update, not a rebuild. "Not to be filled" fields re-open automatically when their acts land.

  • 1
Field mappings. Universal field to Commission data point 1 to 71 and the BatteryPass-Ready 92-attribute longlist.
  • 2
Validation rules. Mandatory, optional, conditional and not-to-be-filled, per battery category and per tier.
  • 3
Phases. 18 February 2027, 18 August 2027, 18 August 2028, and what each date unlocks.
  • 4
Integrations. EU DPP Registry API, Catena-X and EDC, GS1 Digital Link resolver.

Modules

What is in the platform.

Battery registry
Packs, modules, cells and cell models. Bulk import from a bill of materials. Platform identifier per asset; regulation identifiers generated on demand.
Lifecycle events
Append-only record of manufacture, test, deployment, service, transfer, status change and recycling. Feeds the item-level tier and the audit trail.
Compliance engine
Score per regulation and per access tier. Missing fields named with the obligation date they belong to. Deadline tracking for each pending act.
Passport generator
Identifier, QR, passport page, versioned immutable snapshots, AAS record. Bulk generation. Export as JSON, PDF, PNG, SVG and CSV.
Public passport page
Scan the QR, see the public tier. Phone-first, no login. Link to request legitimate-interest access.
Registry connector
Registration through the EU DPP Registry API with the operator's eIDAS credential. Proof of registration retained.
Hosting
EU-resident storage as authorised operator. Availability after the operator ceases to exist, as Article 78 requires. No reuse of customer data.
Telemetry upload
BMS exports with column mapping: state of health, state of charge, cycles, faults. REST push for BMS cloud gateways to follow.
Documents
Declarations of conformity, test reports, supplier attestations and recycling records linked to assets and events, with versions and status.
Roles and tenancy
Strict per-organisation isolation, custom roles, API keys, and regulation-aware data tiers layered on top.
Audit trail
Every change, access and generation logged, append-only and hash-chained, exportable for a regulatory audit.
Readiness check
The free check on this site, and the full check in the product across all 71 data points per tier and per date.
Security and residency

Four authorisation layers. EU data residency as a contract term.

  • ✓
Authentication, then organisation scope on every query, then role, then regulation-aware data tier.
  • ✓
Immutable audit log, input validation, parameterised queries, HTTPS with HSTS, rate limits per key and address.
  • ✓
EU-resident hosting and no reuse of customer data are contractual commitments. Article 78 forbids an authorised operator from selling or re-using the data.
  • ✓
No blockchain. No regulator mandates it, and Catena-X chose federated data spaces. We adopt the IDTA submodels and EDC patterns instead.
Integrations

Meets your data where it is.

  • In: CSV with column mapping, REST API, BMS exports, document upload.
  • Out: EU DPP Registry API, GS1 Digital Link resolver, AAS submodels for Catena-X and EDC, webhooks.
  • Later: REST push from BMS cloud gateways, ERP connectors on the Enterprise plan.

Design partners from e-bike, light transport and storage run the proof of concept on their own bill of materials, not sample data, and shape the product before launch.
